Tell us a little about your shop and how it got started.

Lovely Cove Coffee opened in November 2025 after I stepped away from a 20-year career in the medical field. I felt called to create more than just a coffee shop—I wanted a place that would strengthen our community, build meaningful relationships, and ultimately share the love of Jesus Christ. Every cup of coffee is an opportunity to connect with someone and brighten their day.

What makes your shop unique within your community?

We’re tucked into the first floor of a beautifully renovated 1800s building on the corner of a busy intersection in Galena, Maryland. Our cozy shop blends historic charm with modern touches, creating a warm, welcoming space where customers can slow down, relax, and enjoy great coffee.

What do you enjoy most about serving your customers?

My favorite part is getting to know the people who walk through our doors. I love hearing their stories, celebrating life’s milestones with them, and seeing their faces light up after that first sip of coffee. Those everyday moments and relationships are what make this work so rewarding.

Which Philly Fair Trade coffees do you serve, and what do your customers enjoy about them?

We proudly serve Philly Fair Trade Espresso, Peru, Joe’s House Blend, and Philly French Roast. Our customers especially love the Philly French Roast for its rich, bold flavor, making it our most popular coffee.

What does offering Organic, Fairtrade coffee mean to your business?

Serving Organic, Fairtrade coffee aligns with the values of our business. It allows us to provide our customers with exceptional-quality coffee while knowing it was produced through ethical and sustainable practices. It’s important to us that every cup reflects both quality and integrity.

What is one thing you’d like more people to know about your shop?

We’re proud to be part of a small Eastern Shore community known for boating, hunting, and farming. Whether you’re a local, passing through, or heading to the river, we hope Lovely Cove Coffee feels like a place where you’re always welcome.
