Espresso Blend Coffee (Organic, Fairtrade)

A coffee roaster's espresso blend is a sign of their best efforts towards the gold standard of what they do. Philly Fair Trade Roasters is extremely proud of our espresso blend. It pulls a sublime shot of espresso with golden crema and a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity. Our espresso blend is a mix of an Organic, Fairtrade Colombia coffee from our partner Diana Conde and an Organic, Fairtrade coffee from Copán Honduras. We roast our espresso blend to the full city plus range, which creates an outstanding shot of espresso and ensures excellent extraction.

This Full City+ Roast creates a full flavor shot with a rich creamy body. Excellent as a shot of espresso or cut with milk.

Our roaster recommends the following recipe: 20 grams of coffee in, and 40 grams of espresso out. Reach the end weight in about 30-33 seconds. If your shots are ending sooner, go finer with your grind. If they are taking longer, go coarser with your grind. This is a good starting point, but feel free to experiment.

12 oz of coffee beans makes approximately 16-18 cups of 8 oz coffee depending on your brewing method, how strong you prefer your coffee and cup size.

To maximize your coffee bean's freshness, store them in a cool, dark place out of direct sunlight and away from a source of heat.
