What is Cold Brew Concentrate Coffee?

Cold brew concentrate is a highly concentrated coffee extract made by steeping coarsely ground coffee in cold water for an extended period, typically 12 to 24 hours. The result is a strong, smooth, and flavorful coffee that can be diluted and used in various ways.  In our case, we made our concentrate with our Mexican coffee beans with a recommended 2:1 ratio from our 8 oz can.  This means just mix 8 oz of concentrate with 4 oz of milk to create your latte.  This is our recommended starting point, your tastes may of course vary.  Our Mexican coffee beans are also what we use in our canned cold brew.

Keep in mind it is meant to be diluted before drinking, not to be consumed directly from the can.

How to Use Cold Brew Concentrate Coffee

Cold brew concentrate is highly versatile and can be enjoyed in various ways. Here are some of the best ways to use it.  Keep in mind our suggested starting ratio is 2:1, meaning two parts coffee for one part additional beverage.  It’s a starting point, not the law of gravity.  Adjust as your palate prefers.  Create an awesome beverage or have a favorite recipe we missed?  Share it with us so we can share it with others (giving you the credit of course!).  You never know what may be a new favorite.  I would have never thought to mix instant coffee with eggnog until it was suggested to me.  So let your love for adventures with coffee run wild (not too wild, that would be a huge mess in the kitchen that won’t clean itself.  More like controlled wild or a lightly domesticated wild).

Cold Brew Concentrate Coffee Tips, No Tricks

1. Adjust the Strength

If your cold brew concentrate is too strong, simply dilute it with water or milk to taste.

2. Store it Properly

Our cold brew concentrate needs refrigerated, best by dates on each can.

3. Sweeten Thoughtfully

Cold brew is naturally sweeter than hot coffee, so start with a small amount of sweetener and adjust as needed.
