🌱 The Story Behind the Bean
This coffee is sourced from the Rogicha Washing Station in the Guji Zone, Ethiopia — a mountainous region celebrated for producing some of the world’s most expressive coffees.
- Comprised of smallholder farmers delivering cherries from their own family farms
- Grown at 2,200 meters above sea level, where cooler temperatures slow maturation and intensify flavor
- Coffee varieties: Ethiopian Heirloom
- Processing emphasizes precision, cleanliness, and consistency
Producer values include:
- Careful cherry selection and optimal ripeness standards
-Washed processing for clarity and balance
- Direct supply chain relationships that support producer sustainability
Each producer hand-picks ripe cherries and delivers them to a centralized wet mill. Cherries are floated to remove defects, de-pulped, fermented in water tanks, thoroughly washed, and then slow-dried on raised beds until reaching an ideal 11% moisture content. This method allows gentle airflow and even drying, preserving delicate floral and citrus notes.
🔒 Freshness Guarantee
We roast in small batches and ship quickly to lock in flavor. Store your beans in a cool, dark place away from sunlight and heat to keep them tasting their best.
